Typical for this époque was special architecture type so called the Village style house. The specific features were shape of the house and that the building material was predominantly wood.
Nowadays the Village is a famous architectural reserve. There are preserved over 200 cultural monuments (houses) from the Bulgarian Revival. Some of them are over 300 years old.
Every year the Village has more than 30,000 tourists. More than the half of them are tourists who want to stay in the village. In the village there are three ethnographical museums and one Art gallery.
In the surrounding area there are three Tourist eco paths, which include natural (centuries old beech forests, caves, karsts land forms ) and historical places of interest. In the village there many hotel and restaurants, mostly placed in authentic old houses. A horse riding and a “horse taxi” are available as attractions. There is Fishing and Hunting areas.
There is a post-office and shops. There are no industrial areas in this region, so it is really clean and ecological place. It is also safe. All these with combination of the unique romantic and peaceful atmosphere attract many people to buy properties here.
